Visit Heart & Hands and enjoy an unforgettable Finger Lakes wine tasting experience

 

Our small, family-owned vineyard, winery, and tasting room sit on the quiet east side of Cayuga Lake, removed from the bustle of the regional wine trails. We are known for warm hospitality, deeply educational tasting experiences, and wines that have earned consistent recognition from the country’s leading critics. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through the stories behind our rare limestone-rich vineyard, sustainable farming methods, small-batch winemaking, and the Pinot Noirs and rare esoteric varieties that have made Heart & Hands a destination for serious wine lovers.

 

Seasonal Tasting Room Hours:

From Memorial Day Weekend – December, we’re open Friday to Sunday, 12 – 5.

We’re closed January – mid February for tastings, but online orders and shipping continue during this time.

From mid-February – late May we’re open Saturday and Sunday, 12 – 5

Experiences

1. Signature Tasting

Enjoy a seated tasting of our sustainably grown, limited-production wines guided by co-owner Susan and our friendly team of wine enthusiasts.

A guided flight of five wines, led by our knowledgeable tasting room team. You’ll explore our limestone-rich vineyard, sustainable farming, and small-batch winemaking, learning the stories behind what makes these wines distinctive. Pinot Noir and White or Mixed flights are always available, and our newly launched ESO Series of small-lot wines from rare esoteric varieties including Aligoté, Petite Arvine, Pinot Auxerrois, and Lagrein are featured as each release becomes available.

These varieties are exceptionally rare, and Heart & Hands is among the very few producers in the United States to grow them.

Wine by the glass, non-alcoholic beverages, and grazing plates of cheese, charcuterie, and accompaniments are also available for purchase.

2. UTV Vineyard Tour & Tasting

Explore our Estate vineyard on an exclusive, founder-led UTV tour and discover limestone terroir and rare varieties that make Heart & Hands unlike anything else in the Finger Lakes. 

 

Join Heart & Hands co-founder Susan Higgins on a UTV tour of our vineyard for a behind-the-scenes look at our unique terroir and farming practices. During this immersive experience, you will enjoy a guided progressive wine tasting featuring a selection of 6 wines, along with some tasty nibbles. The voyage is a rare opportunity to explore from farm to glass and understand how our unique terroir shapes the flavors and aromas of our wines. This is the only experience of its kind in the Finger Lakes, and guests consistently rate it among their most memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you rent the winery and grounds for special occasions?

No. The winery is a small, working farm and winemaking facility and all spaces are in daily use for growing grapes, making wine, and running our hospitality operations.

Q: Do you allow pets?

Friendly, quiet, well-socialized dogs are allowed on our grounds and in the tasting room on a leash.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Q: Do you offer food and other beverages?

Grazing plates featuring rotating selections of cheese, charcuterie, marinated olives, nuts, and crackers are offered seasonally. Gluten free options are always available.

Delicious flavored sparkling waters and a curated selection of non-alcoholic beverages are also offered.
