Well focused, with an anise streak cutting through the core of pear skin, green apple and melon rind notes. A green almond accent chimes in on the finish. A very pure style. Drink now through 2016.

2013 Blanc de Noirs
James Suckling – Stuart Pigott
Attractive interplay of smoky and candied citrus, plus some red-berry notes. Pretty full-bodied with plenty of creaminess and gentle acidity in the sparkling wine context. Long, complex, nutty and chalky finish. 100% pinot noir that was basket-pressed, then 45% was fermented in French oak and 55% in stainless steel. Disgorged on August 12th 2021.
